Primal Pizza Mark III

Long time no Blog!

I got this idea from fastpaleo.com, I have attempted several pizza ideas, Meatza from Marks Daily Apple and Mushroom Pizzas from Bodyrock but this one is the best so far.

1 Scoop out some courgette (zucchini if you are in the States).

2 Add your favorite Pizza topping, I used ham, pineapple, red onion, feta cheese and black olives.

3 Whack in the oven, the original recipe said 200 for 20 mins but I had to go a little hotter a the end (could just be my prehistoric oven).

Enjoy!

Hasta La Pasta Lasagne

Yum yum another test drive from the Everyday Paleo Cookbook.

everydaypaleo.com

Diet has been rubbish lately so its time to pull my finger out.

Subbed the olives for cheese, I am sure when the Fiance gets home from work she will appreciate this.

Will be cooking this again!

Crossfit and Pizza

Went to Crossfit Manchester this morning, nice now my OU course is over I actually have time.

WOD was:
Front squat 3 3 3 3 3
Just did 60kg, rather go light than get an injury until I am used to it.
Power snatch practice.

Then 400m 300m 200m 100m runs sprinkled with ball slams and knees to elbows.

I was pretty fast off the blocks but the knees to elbows destroyed me and I finished last!

Made these pizzas for lunch. Got the idea from Bodyrock but simplified it: Delicious-healthy-pizza-recipe

Stuck red onion, pineapple, gouda and ham on top of portabello mushrooms then shoved in the oven at 200c for 12 mins.

Lovely

Roadtest - Everyday Paleo Meatloaf

Ok, I finally got time to blog a recipe from Everyday Paleo.

I made the meatloaf, didn't have any majoram so subbed garam masala. Served with a side salad and some avocado. It was pretty nice, would make it again and lots left for breakfast.

I generally feel the book is a bit expensive, £17 for a paperback. I would however recommend it to someone who had never heard of paleo or functional exercise. Its a good way to start cleaning up your life without too much detail.

Stay tuned for some more recipes from the book.

Pork Carnitas

This was kind of from Civilizedcavemancooking.com but I didn't find that link until the pork was cooking! I made the BBQ sauce as well from http://www.sonofgrok.com.

Fried some asparagus with garlic and butter on the side. I thought the pork would last a couple of says but we have eaten most of it already!

Had a quick workout before, 1 lap Pose and some Tabata pull-ups press-ups and squats. Think I was leaning a little to far (from the waist), think I will try my VFF next or give up Pose until after the Summer Series.

Travelled to Jayson and Fiona's so we can not watch the Royal Wedding together.

Jayse cooked breakfast:

Melon, avocado, broccoli, gurkha lamb sausages, rare breed bacon, egg omelette and mushrooms!

Yum yum thanks Jayse.

Old Macdonalds Farm Burger

And on this farm he had some cows, pigs and chickens which Mick ate!

Everybody knows I love a good burger on a Friday.
Made my own again. I added chopped garlic and some turmeric to the mince beef this week.

For topping I added some bacon, emmental cheese! and fried eggs.

Served with mashed avocado and mushrooms.

Pretty amazing!

Closest I got to a workout was a walk up Bosley Cloud after work with Cavegirl.
